Yamaha's brand-new F115 outboard is lighter, quieter, and more powerful and fuel efficient than the motor it replaces, which is more than a little difficult to believe, considering the great reputation of the previous model. The new, refreshed F115 debuted the the Miami International Boat Show, where we found out what makes the new power plant tick from one of Yamaha's pros.


The new, four-cylinder, four-stroke Yamaha F115 engine has been bored out from 1.7 liters to 1.8 liters, has larger, easier-breathing valves, and is 24 pounds lighter than the previous model.
